to Pure Luck Taxidermy, my name is Stacey Smith and I am the owner/operator.
Growing up in rural Missouri I’ve always enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. From the big bucks of Missouri to the whitetails of Iowa, I spend the fall in the outdoors. Those interests led me to taxidermy.
All hides are tanned using a custom pressurized wet tan system. I only use the highest quality materials and supplies to create a custom one of kind creation for you to enjoy.
My shop is fully licensed with the state
of Missouri. Additionally, my shop is fully insured for the security
of your trophy that you have entrusted me with.

My
interest in taxidermy grew to a hobby about eight years ago. It all
started with me doing my own whitetail deer shoulder mounts, European mounts,
and antler panels. Wanting to advance my skills in whitetail and
life size mammal taxidermy, I began attending workshops and seminars every
chance I got. From there it turned into a obsession and a business.
I work with all types of mammals including any shoulder mount game, ½
life size, pedestal mounts, and life size mammals. My favorite animal
to mount is the whitetail deer which is by far the favorite among hunters
in Missouri. Being a member of the 
Pure
Luck Taxidermy is conveniently located just off of Interstate 70 within
30 minutes of the Kansas City metro area.
